My Chosen Work Sample had my best effort of peer review I had this semester. In this essay, I took in a lot of the feedback that I was given throughout our peer review session and implemented that feedback into my writing very meticulously. Lots of the feedback I was given related to my thesis, MLA format and natural flow of my essay. With the feedback that was relating to my thesis, it was mostly telling me that I should make my thesis more clear and that I need to relate my closing and topic sentences back to my thesis better. This is an important step to take because if your thesis is not apparent in your body paragraphs, then your readers will not understand the point you are trying to say because they may have forgotten what your thesis is and lose interest in what your point is. The reviews I had got relating to my MLA format were very simple yet very important things that I had missed. I had missed my headers to all the different pages I have and another big thing I missed was my spacing and Works Cited. These two MLA formatting factors are very important things to make sure you have in your work. If you do not have this in your work, then if you are being cited on something, then it will be very difficult for someone who wants to talk about your work to talk about it. Another reason that it is good to have MLA Format in your essay is that spacing is a needed thing in them. If you do not have correct spacing on your essay, then your work will not look correct due to the improper spacing and readers will be repulsed by this fact. The last thing that my group told me I needed to work on was the flow of my essay. This relates closely to the first point I made where I needed to incorporate my thesis better to my paragraphs. In the same way that I needed to add my thesis to my paragraphs, I could have, in doing so, made my essay clear in what I was saying and made it easier for my readers to understand the points I was trying to make. This is a very important step to have because this is the basis of how your readers are going to understand the individual points you are trying to make.
